Hi, my name is Fable. I’m a freelance artist, biker and queer activist.
I’m currently available for commissions via Email, Instagram and WhatsApp.
I am a mixed media artist with a proclivity and love for charcoal drawing.
Inspired by the people and world around me, I pull from both organic & natural sources as well as man-made structures & objects found on my travels across the UK.
My experiences and identity as a queer man, including my personal ethics and views on our current political world, also heavily inform the work I create.
After graduating with a degree in fine art, I began working in the charity sector in 2020. I had the opportunity to reflect and learn about who I was as an artist, and really explore what was important to me.
This time period in my life is when I found the courage, and acquired the resources, to leave a long-term relationship, change my name, medically transition, change careers and move cities. It was a busy two years…
Freelance work & Art
Art gives life meaning, it certainly does for me anyway.
With a BA in Fine Art, I do commission-based work in my capacity as a professional free-lance artist.
I've facilitated art workshops, taught art classes and exhibited artwork at various universities and galleries.
My art practice explores the un-comfortability of identity, blending organic iconography drawn from the world around us as it clashes with our man-made reality; visually expressing the complex facets of the human experience as a queer individual traversing a capitalist society.
Queerness, community, the body, activism, environmentalism and mental health are all themes in my work.
Motorcycles
I’m not really sure why I have a fascination with motorbikes but it’s a hobby that brings me endless joy (and frustration when the bike breaks!).
There’s nothing like the feeling of cutting through the landscape as you ride. A fresh breeze, glorious sunshine and an empty road… that’s pure joy.

Community & Accessibility
In my professional working life I’ve made it my mission to facilitate as much positive action and change as I can. I believe in making a positive difference to the world around me where I can.
With a passion for accessibility and diversity, I have co-coordinated Pride events across the south and often collaborate with other queer artists and activists. Championing support and sharing resources via organisational networks and grass-root community connection.
I have worked for conservation charities such as the Wildlife Trust, National Trust and worked with art galleries such as Pallant House Gallery (who focus on preservation, conservation and education rather than commercial selling of art).
I’ve volunteered for youth charities such as ESTEEM and Sanctuary, with experience supporting others who have been unhoused or homeless.
Most days, I work as a project manager and co-chair a working group who focus on accessibility, equality & diversity. This includes writing a newsletter, hosting training and providing resources & support to those who want or need it.
